Libre Office: An Open-Source Office Suite

Although it may not be preferable for large-scale implementations at sizable universities, Libre Office is one of the best open-source office suites available. Libre Office runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and offers everything you would expect out of an office suit (a word processor, spreadsheets, slideshows, etc) for free.
