Optimal Partners seeks to make a difference in line with the mission of Higher Ed, which is why we work hard to provide you with information and resources you need to be successful and give you opportunities to get involved within the Higher Ed IT community.
Share Your Knowledge
Your experience and knowledge can be invaluable to a fellow professional.
If you’re interested in offering advice to others, you can join our growing network of Higher Ed IT professionals as an impartial peer. Your experience and knowledge can be invaluable to a fellow professional who is struggling with a difficult problem during an implementation. You can listen to what methods the team has already tried, discuss what they have yet to do, and advise potential next steps.
Join the Higher Ed IT Professionals Meetup Group
Our Higher Ed IT Professionals Meetup group is another way to interact with fellow professionals. By joining this group, you will be able to meet professionals from many different universities, however, all physical meetings will take place in the Greater Boston area. You will have the opportunity to discuss your work with the people who understand it best. If something has gone wrong with your implementation that you weren’t anticipating, the members of the group can springboard potential solutions. Or perhaps you’re looking to share a funny story about the intricacies of the field—the members of our group will no doubt appreciate it.
Become a Mentor
Mentoring is proven to be a mutually beneficial relationship.
We also sponsor the Student and Recent Grads Mentoring Network Meetup. It allows professionals across all disciplines to come together to meet inspired, hardworking, and talented individuals looking to build lasting connections. Some of our students and recent grads may be looking for help building their resumes or reviewing their cover letters while others may be looking to pick your brain about your work. Regardless of how you can help these aspiring professionals, one thing is certain: mentoring is proven to be a mutually beneficial relationship.
Contribute to Our Blog
If you enjoy writing, consider guest writing for our blog. Your article and your unique perspective may be the explanation that someone needs to overcome a current difficulty. You’re welcome to choose a topic you’re passionate about and write an article (or series of articles) for the blog. If you are unsure how to begin, but would still like to share your experience, you can work with our team to create an outline for your topic and one of our writers will work with you to get it published.
