Michael strives to make learning fun through a unique experiential approach: Funification. His passion has no bounds for crafting performance-based, corporate LTD (Learning, Training, and Development) experiences, along with research, teaching, and learning in higher education. Michael aspires to be the educator who facilitates an epiphany moment for learners whom they have the honor and privilege to coach and mentor.
As an Edupreneur, Michael is intensely devoted to User Experience Design of Game-Based Learning (GBL). He has architected, designed, developed, and delivered a wide range of educational modules and programs in executive, professional, experiential, online, and project/problem-based venues. He has applied serious games (both innovative physical artifacts, and online simulations) within courses to stimulate ENGAGEMENT, INNOVATION, CREATIVITY, RETENTION, and PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS.
Michael has never subscribed to the “sage on the stage” paradigm in higher education or LTD. He has have demonstrated success in the delivery of facilitated educational experiences, working as the “guide on the side.”
