On February 26th at 12 PM EST, the Higher Education Technology Professionals Meetup group met for their ninth virtual roundtable discussion, this time focused on the ERP landscape. Updating legacy ERP systems can often become a game of putting the train tracks in front of the train as it travels, trying to maintain older systems while transitioning to newer alternatives. Unfortunately, the current marketplace for ERP systems can be messy to navigate (and very limited) especially for higher ed technology professionals.
You can find a recording of the discussion below:
We would like to especially thank Steve McDevitt, CIO at Saint Anselm College, Cindy Mitchell, CIO at Colby College, and Jeff Brown, CIO at Champlain College, for taking the time to share their expertise. We wouldn’t be able to put on events like these without their help and the support from our team of volunteers.
If you’d like to join our next virtual event, consider visiting our Meetup page to learn more. It could be a fantastic networking and learning opportunity to meet other technology professionals at colleges and universities and share your expertise. We are also looking for feedback on the next event’s topic, so please feel free to reach out to us if you’re interested in a specific topic.
Avoid costly mistakes and wasted time – talk to an impartial peer in Higher Ed!
There is nothing like speaking with a peer who has implemented the same product – send us a request.
You can also provide general feedback, inquire about additional free resources, submit a topic you’d like us to cover, tell us about a feature you’d like to see, or request the best staff for your project.
