Going from good to great is hard. Going from “not so good” to great is even harder. Improving your institution’s IT function can be a daunting task, but with the right tools, knowledge, and expertise, it should be possible to create a better IT environment regardless of the size of your university’s campus or bank account.
On January 27th, 2022, the Higher Ed Technology Professionals Meetup group gathered for the third part of our virtual Meetup series on IT efficiency in higher education. We were joined by Tim Winders, Vice-Chancellor Information Services at Purdue University Northwest, and Miloš Topić, Vice President for Information Technology & Chief Digital Officer at Grand Valley State University, who shared their personal experiences, provided advice, and answered questions from the rest of the attendees.
You can find a recording of the discussion below:
We would like to especially thank Miloš Topić and Tim Winders for helping put together this series of events. We wouldn’t be able to run our virtual Meetups without the help and support from our wonderful team of volunteers.
If you’d like to join our next virtual event, consider visiting our Meetup page to learn more. It could be a fantastic networking and learning opportunity to meet other technology professionals at colleges and universities and share your expertise. We are also looking for feedback on the next event’s topic, so please feel free to reach out to us if you’re interested in a specific topic.
Avoid costly mistakes and wasted time – talk to an impartial peer in Higher Ed!
There is nothing like speaking with a peer who has implemented the same product – send us a request.
You can also provide general feedback, inquire about additional free resources, submit a topic you’d like us to cover, tell us about a feature you’d like to see, or request the best staff for your project.
